The drinkable Book

The Water is Life foundation have developed a life saving tool that filters water and is meant to educate it’s user on proper sanitation & hygiene.

It comes in form of a book, which is printed on technologically advanced filter paper, capable of killing 99.9% of deadly waterborne diseases. It’s pages are coated with silver nanoparticles, whose ions actively kill diseases like cholera, typhoid and E. coli.

According to the foundation it’s comparatively easy to produce, making it by far the cheapest option on the market. Not only does the book look pretty great, thanks to it’s designer Brian Gartside, but each filter can provide up to 30 days worth of clean water. That’s close to 4 years per book!

On paper (it had to be done) it seems like a great idea for a worthy cause, nicely put together.
