What do you want to hear more of 2018?

I’m really excited by this new wave of young-Londoner jazz musicians coming through – Moses Boyd, Alfa Mist, Soweto Kinch, Ashley Henry…more of that please.

What do you want to hear less of in 2018?

With a few exceptions, this new wave of Soundcloud/xanax/mumble rap is producing a lot of mediocre music. The inclusion of Gucci Gang on the playlist was kind of a joke (kind of….)

What do you listen on?

Apple Music. The interface has its issues but they have some killer playlists on there, and they allow you to rate your music, which plays well to my organisational OCD.

Where do you find new music?

Bandcamp, Pitchfork, Stereogum, and FACT all do good new tracks features, throw in Tiny Mix Tapes, Crack and RA for album reviews, and as a Spotify curator The Dowsers is life.

Guilty pleasure?

Carly Rae Jepsen (and Gucci Gang)
